DAILY MASS - MISA DIARIA
We are challenging YOU to attend Daily Mass this Lenten Season! Taking that moment of reflection and time with God is important to your spiritual health. This is a chance to quiet your heart and mind at Mass to be then open to the Spirit filling you up during our other lenten offerings. Are you ready for this challenge? Will you help us reach our Lent goal of attending Daily Mass 2x/a week? We can't wait to welcome you and see how the Holy Spirit transforms you this season!
EUCHARISTIC ADORATION—ADORACION EUCARISTICA
We invite you to come and spend some particular time in the presence of God. During Eucharistic Adoration, the Blessed Sacrament is exposed. All are welcome to join us every day from 6 am to Midnight. Please, visit www.stmatthewhillsboro.org to get started.
STATIONS OF THE CROSS—VIACRUCIS
The Stations of the Cross are a 14-step Catholic devotion commemorating Jesus Christ's last day on Earth as a man. The 14 devotions, or stations, focus on specific events of His last day, beginning with His condemnation. At each station, the individual recalls and meditates on a particular event from Christ's last day. First, specific prayers are recited, then the individual moves to the next station until all 14 are complete.
The Stations of the Cross are commonly found in churches as 14 small icons or images. The stations are most commonly prayed during Lent on Fridays, especially on Good Friday, the day of the year upon which the events occurred.
Join us for Stations every Friday of Lent.
LENTEN PENANCE SERVICE—SERVICIO PENITENCIAL DE CUARESMA
Our communal celebration of the Sacrament of Reconciliation shows more clearly the ecclesial nature of penance. The parishioners listen together to the word of God, which proclaims his mercy and invites them to conversion; at the same time, they examine the conformity of their lives with that word of God and help each other through common prayer.
