Join us as we honor Becky Smith on February 23 at the 8:30 a.m. Mass. There will be a blessing and commissioning, and immediately after the Mass, there will be a reception from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the Parish Hall to celebrate her.
After 20 years of devoted service to our community, Becky Smith will retire as Business Manager on March 4, 2025. She has led numerous programs and projects and helped the parish in countless other ways.
Becky has been a tremendous support to the parish during these years. Her institutional knowledge of our Saint Matthew community served parish staff very well, and her knowledge and experience of how things work have been incredibly valuable.
Before she retires, we invite the community to celebrate Becky with a Mass and Reception as a show of appreciation for her dedication and service to Saint Matthew Catholic Church & School.
And join us in praying for Becky:
Heavenly Father, we thank you for Becky’s many years of service, contributions, loyalty to our Parish, and sharing of experience and wisdom with others.
We are grateful for her hard work and dedication. Over the years, she has adapted to many changes and sacrificed her time when the job demanded it. She has also been a mentor to her coworkers and worked faithfully.
We pray that you continue to bless her in this next phase of her life. May your presence be with her. May she be blessed with friends and family so that she can enjoy the journey ahead. Keep her vigorous in body, mind, soul, and soul. Open new doors of service that will satisfy her desire to give and make a difference in our world. May she find many receptive hearts and minds for the wisdom she has to offer.
Today, we offer for her this blessing from the Gospel of Matthew, our patron saint: "Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness!" (Mt 25:23).
