Our Parish committed to extensive Eucharistic Adoration in the Jubilee Year 2000 and has supported this amazing prayer vigil virtually twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week since then. Adorers, both scheduled and those who make spontaneous visits, keep prayerful watch with Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament in the chapel. The Committee that oversees the coordination of volunteers required to keep constant vigil is comprised of Nancy Rhein in union with those responsible for overseeing the particular hours of their day called Day Leaders. Term of service is determined on a voluntary basis.
La Parroquia de San Mateo se comprometió durante el Jubileo del Año 2000 a la Adoración Eucarística de una forma extensiva y, desde entonces, se ha estado realizando adoración prácticamente las 24 horas del día, los siete días de la semana. Ha sido una vigilia de oración impresionante. Los adoradores, tanto los que se han comprometido como los que vienen de visita espontáneamente, mantienen una vigilia de oración constante con Nuestro Señor en el Santísimo Sacramento en la capilla. El Comité que supervisa la coordinación de los voluntarios está compuesto de Nancy Rhein (líderes conjuntos de Adoración) junto con los llamados Líderes de Día, que son las personas responsables de supervisar que haya voluntarios para las horas particulares de cada día. Este servicio es voluntario por lo que los horarios se fijan de forma individual
You may sign up to be an "adorer" which allows you to schedule yourself for one or more hours per week to pray before Our Lord. It means that you can have some time alone with Jesus to pray, read the bible, contemplate acts of faith, hope, charity, thanksgiving, reparation, or do whatever type of prayerful devotion that suits you before Our Lord. You can just sit and say nothing simply keeping Him company, just as you would with a dear friend.
